ABOUT US
What is Mothership?
Mothership is a retro-futuristic physical media store and creative event space located in Hoboken, NJ. We specialize in curated vinyl, CDs, movies, retro games, collectibles, analog tech, and immersive experiences. We’re part community hub, part art space, part third-place for anyone who loves storytelling, music, film, and gaming culture.
Creative Director of Mothership
Kaya Balugo is a multidisciplinary director and video artist blending storytelling, culture, and technology. As the Founder and Creative Director of Mothership, he designs retro-futuristic spaces and experiences that merge analog art, digital media, and community building. His work draws from a lifelong love of visual storytelling—from stop-motion and skate videos to installation art—and is rooted in curiosity, imagination, and the power of shared creativity.

CEO of Mothership
Jaiden Dalbello is a Toronto-born filmmaker, advocate, and writer whose storytelling roots trace back to a childhood immersed in cinema and visual arts.
After studying film production on scholarship at the School of Visual Arts in New York, she shifted her focus toward screenwriting and community-driven creative work.
Her projects often explore belonging, psychology, and problem-solving, working to bridge gaps so that outliers, misfits, and those who feel unseen in this world can find spaces & media where they are understood.
